PET Felt: Transforming Plastic Waste into Acoustic Calm

Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) felt is not just another acoustic material; it’s demonstrating innovation and sustainability at its best. Driven by our commitment to waste reduction, PET stands as our main acoustic material. Crafted from 60% recycled materials, equivalent to approximately 280 plastic bottles per panel repurposed into something enduring and elegant.

Creating Acoustic Comfort

PET felt is more than just an eco-friendly option, its acoustic properties provide comfort and tranquillity to all kinds of spaces to create an environment of productivity and wellbeing.

Thanks to its flexible nature, PET felt lends itself to limitless shapes and designs, allowing us to bring your vision to reality with bespoke products tailored to your needs. This versatility ensures that aesthetic and functional requirements are met with precision and creativity.

From sleek wall coverings to elegant ceiling rafts, PET felt ensures that aesthetic and acoustic practicalities are perfectly matched.

How does PET compare to alternative acoustic materials?

PET felt uses a higher percentage of recycled materials and boasts a significantly lower carbon footprint, thanks to its energy-efficient production process.

Unlike acoustic foam, PET felt offers superior acoustic calm in workspaces because of its closed structure, as opposed to the open cellular arrangement of traditional acoustic foam. Our PET material has an NRC of .45, which can be increased with different mounting options. For the best noise reduction, a variety of different products within a space can create the calmest space. For example, using ceiling products, as well as surface products within a room.

In addition to its acoustic performance, PET felt also excels in safety and sustainability. With a class A fire rating, it can be installed safely near heat sources, providing peace of mind in any environment. Furthermore, our PET felt contains no formaldehyde binders and very low VOCs, making it not only environmentally friendly but also safer for indoor air quality.

Though technically our PET felt is 100% recyclable, currently in the UK it is very difficult to do this. We hope that in the future this will become an easier process and we look forward to a time when recycling PET is widely available to create a true circular economy for our products.

In conclusion, PET felt is not just a material; it's a solution. It transforms plastic waste into acoustic calm, embodying our commitment to sustainability, innovation, and excellence.
