Architect: Parella x Agilité
When global technology company Wipro set out to create its new workspace within the iconic EDF Tower in La Défense, the goal was clear: deliver meeting spaces that reflected the company’s premium brand while supporting the demands of modern collaboration.
Home to more than 250,000 employees worldwide, Wipro needed environments that felt professional, welcoming and built for both in person and hybrid meetings. Working alongside Parella and Agilité, the design team transformed a series of meeting rooms into elegant, high performing spaces where comfort and functionality sit seamlessly alongside a refined architectural aesthetic.
One of the key challenges was achieving excellent acoustic performance within heavily glazed spaces, where sound reflections can quickly impact the meeting experience. At the same time, the architects wanted to maintain a clean and understated design, avoiding any obvious technical interventions that might detract from the overall look and feel.
To achieve this, Öra V wall panels were integrated into the vertical surfaces throughout the meeting rooms. Their subtle linear pattern introduces texture and depth while helping to improve speech clarity and acoustic comfort. Rather than standing out as acoustic treatments, the panels become part of the architectural composition, complementing the material palette and enhancing the premium feel of the space.
Suspended Aurora ceiling rafts were used to address the larger volumes overhead. Carefully positioned to work alongside the lighting and architectural lines, they help control reverberation while maintaining the clean, minimalist aesthetic established throughout the project. The result is an environment that feels calm, balanced and comfortable without drawing attention to the acoustic solutions themselves.
A restrained palette of finishes, combining soft neutrals, timber tones and textured surfaces, further reinforces the sophisticated character of the interiors. The acoustic solutions sit naturally within this scheme, contributing to both performance and appearance in equal measure.
Delivered in just three months, the project was completed to a demanding programme, requiring close collaboration between all project partners. Following handover, the feedback from both the project team and end user was overwhelmingly positive, with the new workspace successfully supporting Wipro’s operational needs while creating a meeting environment that reflects the quality and professionalism of the global brand.
The finished spaces demonstrate how acoustic performance and architectural design can work hand in hand, creating meeting rooms that are elegant, comfortable and built for the way people work today.
