Completed in 2023, the new Synox headquarters in Castelnau-le-Lez was designed to bring people, technology and wellbeing together under one roof. Home to Synox, a leading IoT solutions provider, the building reflects the company's innovative approach while creating a workplace that feels welcoming, comfortable and easy to use every day.

Designed by ZUO – ARCH’OFFICE, the 1,500 m² building was created as a highly connected workplace, integrating smart technologies throughout the space while maintaining a strong focus on the people using it. From collaborative work areas and meeting spaces to terraces, dining facilities and informal breakout zones, every part of the building has been designed to encourage interaction, creativity and wellbeing.

At the heart of the workplace is a central social hub that connects the different spaces and brings people together throughout the day. This open and flexible layout required acoustic solutions that could support a range of activities while complementing the building’s contemporary design.

Breeze acoustic baffles help define the larger spaces with rhythm and visual interest. Suspended from the ceiling, they contribute to the character of the interior while improving acoustic comfort across the open plan environment. Their linear arrangement helps guide movement through the space and creates a sense of structure without feeling heavy or intrusive.

Within the workspaces, suspended Lull screens provide subtle separation between different areas. Their decorative patterns add visual interest while maintaining a feeling of openness, allowing natural light to move freely throughout the building. The result is a workplace that feels bright, connected and comfortable to work in.

Grid elements and Öra V Dual rafts complete the scheme, adding depth, texture and acoustic performance across collaborative and shared spaces. Together, the solutions help create an environment that supports both focused work and everyday interaction.

The design team chose AllSfär’s acoustic solutions for their wide range of colours, helping them achieve the desired look and feel throughout the workplace. The aluminium channel fixing system also offered a practical installation solution, making the products straightforward to install on site. Combined with a positive working relationship and close collaboration throughout the project, the result is a workplace where design, performance and user experience come together seamlessly.

The finished headquarters reflects Synox’s forward-thinking approach, balancing technology and sustainability with the needs of the people who use the space every day.
