QBE – Denton Associates
While open plan environments are helping to increase collaboration and agile working opportunities they also suffer from excessive reverberation. Ultimately this leads to unnecessary noise distraction if acoustics are not considered.
Denton Associates, design and build experts were aware of this issue and enlisted our help to solve this for their global insurance client. We were tasked with providing several acoustic solutions to reduce reverberation across several areas to help create a sense of calm throughout the office.
A range of ReSound acoustic ceiling baffles (class A) and Aurora acoustic ceiling rafts were installed. Together, these products helped to absorb unwanted sound within the space while also complementing the biophilic ceiling design.
Lull suspended acoustic screens made from Öra 60% recycled PET were also installed with bespoke QBE branding elements to enhance employer branding in the office. The Lull suspended acoustic screens act as an effective sound absorber, helping to absorb sound transferred between separate working zones, reducing reverberation and distraction. In addition, the screens provide visual privacy, which was essential within a mainly open plan office space.
The result was a simple and effective office space that embraces agile working opportunities with stunning design.
