Having won the Best Show Stand at Workspace Design Show in 2024, we knew we had set the bar high for the 2025 show. This year’s theme of activate the senses really got our creativity flowing and our inhouse design Louis Stevens shares his inspiration below in his own words – take a closer look to understand the story behind the stand.

We won best show stand at last year’s WDS, so I’d never forgive myself if we didn’t try and do better this time by completely changing the way we design and build the stand. Last year we had a parametric wave design on the front of the stand which I wanted to re-create but turn up the difficulty to the max. Last year I was limited by the CAD software’s I was using so I learnt a completely new one from scratch which allowed me to have full freedom of the shapes and curves of the waves and I also developed a programme that we now use on bespoke orders to take these designs and automatically cut them up into the parametric slats you can see flowing around the front of the stand.

Another aspect we completely changed this year were the walls, I wanted to carry on the Romanesque aesthetic by creating all the walls from blocks which we also cleverly designed to fit together like a huge Lego set, luckily the installers we asked to help build the stand on the day had built a Lego set before so it all went up quite smoothly”.
