StepStone – Calibro

When global private markets investment firm StepStone Group planned to relocate its Irish headquarters, their goal was clear: create a workplace that would earn the commute, inspire their people, and support ambitious growth plans.
Calibro was tasked with delivering a CAT A & B fitout that blends sustainability, acoustic performance, and wellbeing, all while reflecting StepStone’s professional yet relaxed culture.
Getting the acoustics was a key element of the design, ensuring the hybrid workspace supports both collaboration and focus.
Open-plan work areas incorporate AllSfär’s Öra V acoustic wall panels to control reverberation whilst in meeting rooms and social spaces, AllSfär’s Aurora ceiling rafts and Breeze ceiling baffles were used to provide privacy for calls, and more focused work as well as balancing the acoustic comfort in collaboration areas.
The result is a balanced soundscape that enhances productivity and supports neurodiverse needs.
Every material was chosen for its circularity and low environmental impact, and AllSfär’s Öra V acoustic panels were a perfect fit as they are made from 60% recycled post-consumer waste from plastic bottles. PET Felt outperforms conventional materials on embodied carbon and energy metrics and being Made in Britain certified ensures an overall low carbon footprint.
Light-filled breakout spaces, biophilic elements, and locally inspired details foster connection and pride. The result is a people-first HQ that’s as functional as it is sustainable—setting StepStone up for success today and tomorrow.
