Workspace Design Show 2025: Your Questions Answered

March 20, 2025

We had such a fantastic time at this year’s Workspace Design Show! It was great to meet so many of you—interior designers, architects, and office fit-out pros. We were so happy with all the positive feedback on our products (and the stand!), and it was clear you had lots of questions. So, we’ve gathered up the most common ones and thought we’d share the answers with you.

Where are your products made?

Our products are made right here in the UK, at our head office and factory in Watford. We’re really proud to be Made in Britain certified and to support British design manufacturing.

What are your products made from?

Most of our products are made from 60% recycled PET felt, sourced from used plastic bottles—there are about 280 recycled bottles per panel! It’s a great way to reduce waste while making high-performance, durable products. We also have our award-winning acoustic wall tile FIKA made from mycelium and hemp. Check out our sustainability story here.

What is Stratus and how does it work?

Stratus is our clever ceiling solution that effortlessly fits around your existing suspended ceiling grid, making installation quick and hassle-free. The tiles simply slot in, instantly elevating your project and enhancing acoustics. Plus, it’s a beautiful addition to any workspace. Take a closer look at Stratus here.

What is Vault and how does it work?

Vault is a super versatile acoustic solution that works on both walls and ceilings. You can fit it into suspended ceiling grids, hang it from the ceiling, or attach it directly to the walls. Whatever your project needs, Vault adapts to fit perfectly. Find out more here.

How can services be accessed once Vault is on the ceiling?

Good question! If you need to get to things like air conditioning, we can leave gaps with end caps. And if Vault’s in a ceiling grid, it’s just like a regular ceiling tile—just pop it out when you need access.

What is your layered product, and where can I find out about it?

Our layered range, created with MF Design Studio, is inspired by wall panelling, a design element that has a rich history in interior design, evolving over the centuries to reflect changing architectural styles, materials, and cultural preferences. In this collection, we reinvented the wall panelling concept using it not only for decorative purposes but also for enhancing the acoustic performance and aesthetics in a space. Keep an eye out, though—we’ll soon be launching even more layered products, just like the ones you saw at the show! Take a closer look at the range here.

Can you do bespoke designs?

Of course! Our in-house design team is always up for a challenge. Whether you want something completely custom or need a twist on one of our existing products, we can make it happen.

Are your products fire rated?

Yes! All our felt products are fire-rated to EN 13501-1:2018-B, s1, d0 and ASTM E84 -16 Class A, so you can be sure they meet the highest fire safety standards.

Have you got someone who can come and see me?

Of course! We’ve got a friendly team of project consultants who are always out and about. Just get in touch, and we’ll find a time that works for you to have someone come by. You can also come and see us at our Clerkenwell showroom where you can see our products in situ and talk to one of the team in more detail. Book your appointment here.

What are your acoustic ratings?

Our PET felt has a standard NRC of 0.45 for a 12mm panel, this can of course be increased depending on how the products are installed. We’ve done lots of testing on different products, so be sure to check out individual product pages for more details. We’re also in the process of completing additional acoustic testing so stay tuned!

How do you fix the wall panels to walls?

We’ve got options! You can either stick the panels directly to the wall or use our split batten system, which is great if you need to remove or replace panels later.

Do you have CAD files for your products?

Yes, we do! You can easily find CAD files and other digital files on each product page or on our downloads section on the website.

If I have an enquiry, what is the best way to send it?

The best way to reach us is by emailing your dedicated project consultant or sending your enquiry to hello@allsfar.com. We’ll make sure it gets to the right person straight away.
