SCAL – DFM

At SCAL, several employees share a single workspace. It's a cramped setup: two individual desks and two clusters of two workstations facing each other, meaning six people in a single space, all within a compact area. Concentrating under these conditions is difficult, especially without visual separation or acoustic treatment. Noise spreads quickly, and sharing the space becomes uncomfortable. In collaboration with our partner DFM, we were asked to create a more pleasant workspace without altering the existing office layout.
We combined several solutions for comprehensive acoustic treatment. Ten Arc office partitions were installed between and around workstations to limit noise propagation and provide greater privacy.
On the walls, we installed Ora Dual V panels with a two-tone geometric pattern, adding both performance and visual character to the room. Four Tyg panels were suspended, each equipped with an integrated LED frame, providing soft and functional lighting to complement the acoustic treatment.
The change is immediate. The noise level is controlled, each employee gains in concentration and comfort. Conversations are better absorbed, and the entire room feels more serene. Despite its small size, the space has become more comfortable, easier to read, and more balanced. A calmer, more pleasant work environment, designed to last.
