At the foot of the Montparnasse Tower, the restaurant was magnificent, but not acoustically sound. That’s why they called on Sileopta. Every day, the staff—chefs, waiters, and waitresses—were faced with a constant background noise that amplified as guests took their seats. And the customers? The same feeling… A place worthy of respect, but noisy—the quality of service wasn’t appreciated as it should have been because of the noise. A not uncommon problem observed in relaxation and dining areas.

Following analysis and an on-site acoustic study, AllSfär was able to quantify the noise issue, define solutions, and guarantee a successful acoustic result after the work was completed. Guaranteed result: Resonance time (RT) of 0.55s and result after work: RT of 0.52s. This ensures a sound investment, a guarantee of quality, and a success for Accor. In this space, Tyg suspended ceiling acoustic solutions
were installed with the 5-sided option, combined with Tyg wall acoustic solutions.

We sought to add visual interest to the space above the seating; the client appreciated the integration of a custom acoustic panel with a graphic representation – highly symbolic for the Accor group. In addition to their high acoustic performance, the Navy 6080 acoustic panels in the main room blend seamlessly into the overall design.
To allow access to the technical elements in the ceiling (air conditioning, etc.), our design office developed an ingenious concept: the panels are demountable and removable. A unique aspect of the project was creating a “pool-like” atmosphere on the ceiling through its shape and color. The “Navy” color was not chosen at random. The ocean blue is reflected on the floor… Immersing you in a sea of ​​calm to enjoy the chef’s menu.
