Cranham House for Lucy Real Estate by Ashlar ID

Client: Cranham House for Lucy Real Estate

Designer: Ashlar ID

This stunning project by Ashlar ID for residential developers Lucy Real Estate shows how functional design can seamlessly blend aesthetics and calmness. Being an open plan space, a lot of thought and planning was required to create a balance between acoustics, design, and practicality. To achieve this, Ashlar ID worked with Project Manager Paul Southouse from Lynrace to incorporate our acoustic solutions, which we manufacture specifically to make comfortable and inspiring workspaces.

“From the moment I discovered AllSfär at a trade show in London just under 2 years ago, I was really impressed by both their team and the quality and range of their products. Their ethos and principles very much align with my own. I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with them over several projects, but the Cranham House project stands out.”

BreezeSense baffles, which are crafted from 60% recycled PET felt with a super realistic wood finish, were the statement feature in the main office area. These baffles serve a dual purpose—they add a touch of nature to the space while also absorbing sound, helping to manage the acoustics in the open environment. The wood-like texture adds a natural warm and inviting feel, making the space more serene and calm. Additionally, to help define zones within the open-plan layout as well as to absorb sound in the busy area, we provided Lull hanging screens in Siskin yellow. These screens not only divide the space seamlessly but also add a vibrant pop of colour, brightening the overall atmosphere. As well as physically creating a divide Lull also adds a sound barrier to minimise distractions.

Our acoustic Blom planters were also introduced into the office, further enhancing the sense of calm with the biophilic element. These planters contribute both to sound management and help connect the space to nature, reinforcing a tranquil and functional workspace. Blom is a great sustainable choice, being made from our 60% recycled PET material and utilising our production offcuts in an efficient way which reduces waste.

In the meeting room, our Öra V acoustic panels were used in a simple but effective linear design ensuring less distraction during meetings, allowing for clearer communication without excessive noise. Additionally, a light fixture from the Tranquilla range, developed in partnership with Mount Lighting, was installed to create a stunning focal point above the boardroom table, blending functionality with an elegant wow factor.

One of the standout features of this project is the bespoke Öra printed wall panels, which adds a personalised and unique element to the space. This piece not only reflects the client branding but also brings character and individuality to the workspace, making it truly one-of-a-kind.

This project showcases how our acoustic products can seamlessly integrate into any design, improving both the functionality and look of a space. Ashlar ID skilfully utilised our solutions to create a workspace that promotes calmness, productivity, and creativity. We’re thrilled that our products have excelled our client’s expectations!

“Starting with an empty shell, acoustic performance was a top priority. Together with Lucy FM, Em Saunders, we partnered with the AllSfär team to design a scheme that delivered exceptional acoustic performance paired with striking design elements. We were able to specify a variety of products, all of which really have proved effective both functionally and aesthetically.

The finished project exceeded the client’s expectations, and the positive feedback has already led to new opportunities—we’re now working another project for the same client.”Debbie from Ashlar ID
